Starting on June 23, 2023, the city will come alive with a series of captivating performances that will attract audiences from all over the world.

The first day of the festival will begin with a show full of energy and joy. At 12:00 PM, on Nicolae Bălcescu Pedestrian Street, the Cheerful Brass Band will perform, a mobile musical act that promises to entertain and delight the audience. Then, at 12:30 PM, the show Rats. The Street Miracle, an impressive production from Spain, will captivate the audience with its unique story and the actors’ remarkable performances. At 12:45 PM, on the same street, the Italian group Bubble On Circus will present an extraordinary show titled The Street Miracle.

In addition to the events on Nicolae Bălcescu Pedestrian Street, the Sibiu International Theatre Festival will also host remarkable performances in various other locations. At the GONG Theatre, starting at 5:00 PM, the audience will be able to watch Agnes, God’s Chosen, a production that promises to impress with its emotional story and talented performances.

For music lovers, the opening evening of the festival will be truly magical. At 10:00 PM, Judy’s Harmonica Ensemble will offer a unique musical experience, bringing a captivating performance to the stage for harmonica enthusiasts.

The opening day of the festival will conclude in a spectacular way with an impressive drone and laser show. This special presentation will mark the beginning of the 30th edition of the Sibiu International Theatre Festival and will remain in the memory of all those present.
