The building is renowned for its impressive architecture and its historical connection to Vlad the Impaler, also known as Dracula.

Beyond the castle, Hunedoara offers a variety of tourist attractions, including Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church, an example of late Gothic architecture, and the Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilization, which displays artifacts from both the Roman and Dacian periods.

The city is also an important industrial and economic center, with a large steel plant and iron and copper mining operations. These industries played a key role in the city’s economic development and in shaping a strong working-class community.

Hunedoara is also a significant cultural hub, hosting a variety of annual festivals and events, including the International Theatre Festival and the Jazz Festival. The city is also home to numerous theaters and art galleries.

With its rich history and wide range of tourist and cultural attractions, Hunedoara is one of the most interesting destinations in Romania.
